Set it, then forget it
Shoosh remembers how your phone was set and puts it back for you, so you don't miss the next call because you forgot to turn the sound on.
You tap Church. Ringtone and notification sounds go quiet. Vibration stays on.
A countdown sits in your notifications in case you want to end it early.
Your sound comes back on, at the same volume you left it.

Questions
Why does Shoosh need Do Not Disturb access?
Android only lets apps change your ringer with this permission. Shoosh uses it to switch your phone to vibrate and back again. It doesn't read your notifications or messages.
Is it safe to install from outside the Play Store?
Shoosh's code is public on GitHub, and every release is built there and signed by the developer. Android refuses any update that isn't signed with the same key, so nobody else can replace the app on your phone.
How do updates work?
When you open Shoosh it checks for a newer version, at most every six hours. If there is one, an Update button appears. The first time, Android asks you to allow Shoosh to install updates.
Does Shoosh collect any data?
No. There are no accounts, ads or analytics, and your modes and settings stay on your phone. The privacy policy has the details.
Which phones does it work on?
Any Android phone running Android 8 or newer, including Android 17. Some phones, including Samsung, Xiaomi and Oppo, limit apps in the background. If your sound ever doesn't come back on time, set Shoosh's battery use to Unrestricted in the app's settings.
How do I remove it?
Press and hold the Shoosh icon and choose Uninstall. Your sound settings stay as they are, and everything Shoosh saved is deleted with it.
